Health Insurance

During your stay in Munich you will need to be covered by a German-approved health insurance policy. For participants from European Union countries as well as students with health insurance valid in Germany, it is recommended that you bring your EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) with you. Further information can be obtained from your domestic health insurance company.

For students from non-European countries we recommend a one-month private insurance policy, which for instance can be obtained from the following insurance broker:

Accident Insurance

Please note that participants are covered against accidents only while on campus of LMU Munich. Neither the university nor the program coordinators are liable for accidents occuring off campus or during your journey to and from Munich.

Participation in the excursions is at your own personal risk. Thus, we strongly recommend a private insurance against accidents if you do not already have one. Please contact the IUC for more information on where to get accident insurance.
